Cycling in the Mekong delta

Itinerary

1. Day 01

   SAIGON ARRIVAL – CITY TOURXin Chao! Welcome to Saigon (now known as Ho Chi Minh City)
   – the most hectic and business city of Vietnam.  Upon arrival at the airport, welcomed by the local tour guide and transfer to the city center to check in hotel. Afternoon, we start the city tour at the Reunification Palace, the witness of the fierce Vietnam War ended in 1975. The grand building today is a Museum and Hall of official receptions. Nearby the Palace is the colonial-styled Central Post Office - one of the city’s major landmarks. Have a walking tour on Nguyen Hue street to take the photos of the Opera House and the Ho Chi Minh Committee (outside). From here, walking to Ben Thanh Market one of the most typical symbol of Saigon to experience the daily life of the locals and do shopping the hand-made goods there. Overnight in Saigon. Please note: Standard check in time is 14:00. Early check in is subject to availability of the hotel.
2. Day 02

   SAIGON - TRA VINH (B/L/D)
   Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 25 – 45 km - Support truck: YES Breakfast at hotel. Morning picked up at your hotel of stay. Take a 2 hour drive to the starting point. Here all bikes are ready for your cycling adventure in Mekong Delta. Off-roads cycling with our well-trained bike guides will give you more time to understand local inhabitants of gardening villages. Stop en route for lunch at local restaurant.  All unique routes in the afternoon enables you to take time to ride on narrow paths with kids finished from schools. Your guides is also telling you about education system in Mekong Delta's countryside. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Tra Vinh.
3. Day 03

   TRA VINH - TIEU CAN - CAU KE - CAN THO (B/L/D)
   Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 50 – 80 km – Support truck: YES In the morning of your cycle ride is to bike on foot paths through ride fields. Many narrow paths just enough for bicycles and mopeds crossing rice paddy fields which linking villages to villages from Tra Vinh to Cau Ke via Tieu Can. These routes allow you to ride pass traditional villages of Khmer, most of people here still keep their own traditional way of living style. Thatch houses are still popular used and associated within Khmer communities in Vietnam. Stopping at some colorful Khmer Buddhist temples, right here our bike guides will tell you the big difference between two branches of Buddhism. One is Mahayana and the other is called Theravada. Lunch at local restaurant.  Continue your bike adventure in the afternoon with exploring tropical fruit orchards and mingle with crowd on bike on islands of grapefruit, longan and orange. The afternoon' cycling gives you an opportunity to share space with locals on small ferry through bendy natural creeks to outskirts of Can Tho city. A 30 minutes transfer will take you to hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Can Tho. 
4. Day 04

   CAN THO - CHAU DOC (B/L/D)
   Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 50 – 90 km – Support truck: YES After you observing farmers selling and exchanging farm products from boat to boat at lively floating market of Cai Rang, we will carry on our adventure trip with bicycling to Chau Doc. The morning cycling adventure is to explore undiscovered countryside, pedal past bucolic settlements of networks of irrigation canal. After lunch at local restaurant, we cycle past bucolic settlements and vibrant green rice paddies on wonderfully quiet tracks to stork garden. Enjoy an hour and a half driving on A/C vehicle to Chau Doc Dist via Long Xuyen city. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Chau Doc.
5. Day 05

   CHAU DOC - CAO LANH (B/L/D)
   Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 50 – 70 km – Support truck: YES Your bike adventure of today is to explore a low-level plain as Dong Thap where house on stilts mostly seen on all the way to Cao Lanh. Have an hour boat to see fish farms which is also the floating villages along Basac River. Experience a cycling through small rural communities of Muslim. Stopping at Monastery and sharing the country road with local scooters to work and kids biking to school. Travel on bike through peaceful, seemingly undiscovered rural villages among houses which built on stilts with local materials. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Cao Lanh.
6. Day 06

   CAO LANH - XEO QUYT BASE (B/L)
   Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 35 km – Support truck: YES After half an hour transfer by vehicle to rural area for beginning the ride, we start cycling on quite back roads to Xeo Quyt base. You will have sampan boat rowed into natural creeks pass some houses, bunkers of Viet Cong before you return for the last ride and end up your ride at high road. Lunch at local restaurant on the way driving back to Saigon. Dinner on your own arrangement. Overnight in Saigon.
7. Day 07

   SAIGON DEPARTURE (B)
   Breakfast at the hotel. If your flight is in the afternoon, you will have a half day more for the sightseeing and shopping (at your own arrangement) before the departure till check out time and transfer to the airport for the departure flight back to your sweet home. End of services!  Please note: Standard check-out time is 12:00.
