Day 01Hanoi Arrival (D)Welcome to Hanoi – Vietnam! Welcome at Noi Bai International Airport by our English speaking tour guide and private transferred to Hanoi city center for hotel check-in. Have a short rest before transferring to have a welcome dinner at local restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 02Hanoi City Tour – Cycling Around West Lake (B/L)Cycling data - Total distance of cycling: 18 km - Road surfaces: Backroads & Asphalt city road – Support truck: NO If you wish to see how the Hanoi people rise and shine in the morning, wake up early and run to a lake close by your hotel, you can join an exciting scene of hundreds of locals, passionately attentive in their morning exercises of Tai Chi quan, jogging, martial arts, classical dance and so on. After breakfast at the hotel, at 8:00 A.M. we will begin a fascinating day with visits to the Ho Chi Minh Complex, inclusive of Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (outside for taking photos only), the simple but elegant House-on-stilts of Ho Chi Minh, and the One-pillar pagoda since 1049 AD. Reach the Temple of Literature the 1st social university of Vietnam. Lunch at local restaurant. Afternoon, let’s warm-up our biking tour by cycling around the West Lake, the largest lake of Hanoi. West Lake is also a religious area of the city with dozens of pagodas, temples and old villages. Our guide and driver will take you to the West Lake, where a truck with your bikes is waiting for you. The first stop is Tran Quoc pagoda, the oldest pagoda of North Vietnam founded 1,400 years ago during King Ly Nam De empire. Continue riding to West Lake Palace “Phu Tay Ho” worshipping Mother of Goddess, 1 of 4 most legendary characters of Vietnam. Also cycling to Lotus Pond, lotus is the national flower to take photos during sunset (best time from July to October). End the round 18km, your private vehicle will take you back to your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi. Note: This cycling round doesn’t require stamina so please avoid wearing tight and short clothes in order to visit pagodas and temples.

Day 03Hanoi – Pu Luong – Water wheels walk and River Rafting (B/L/D)Breakfast at hotel. Morning, from Hanoi, it takes around 5 hour to reach Pu Luong, where you will spend 2 nights. Enter Pu Luong Nature Reserve by road via a breath taking mountain pass giving you a panoramic view of the whole valley, you arrive at your accommodation in time for a delicious lunch, followed by free time to explore the beautiful retreat, with its captivating panoramic views and tranquil setting. Afternoon, you will be transffed to a suspension bridge over the Cham River, where you begin your walk in search of stunning water wheels. Get up close to each wheel and discover how water is moved from river to handmade bamboo aqueducts via simple constructions of all sizes. Arriving at a local fisherman’s house, you have a short rest to gear up for the rafting adventure with Dinh and his team. Float along the calm river and enjoy the views, in between learning how to paddle and steer your handcrafted rafts. Arriving at scenic Tan Lap bridge, you disembark to be transferred back to Pu Luong Retreat for dinner. Overnight in Pu Luong.

Day 04Pu Luong - cycling (B/L/D)Cycling data - Total distance of cycling: 22 km - Hill trails and dirt bumpy road - Support truck: Yes Morning, start cycling early today, descending into the beautiful valley facing the Retreat where you will see tumbling rice terraces. Cycle through small paths shrouded in vegetation, stop en route to visit local villages (Lan Trong & Lan Ngoai). Keep cycling, you are weaved between roads and farmland, villages and wild fields, ponds and rivers, mountains and open land. Savour the ever-changing scenery as you reach Nua village, where your vehicle is waiting, taking you back to the retreat. Overnight in Pu Luong.

Day 05Pu Luong visit – Hanoi (B/L)You have the chance to get close to village life and interact with locals living in the hills above the Retreat. Glimpse at daily life, walk around working farm land and rice fields, and learn about making rice wine and weaving colourful textiles, followed by lunch with a local family. At noon, check out and transfer back to Hanoi. Upon arrival, check in your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 08Saigon – My Tho (Mekong Delta)– Saigon (B/L)Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 25 km – Backroads & City roads - Support truck: YES Breakfast at hotel. Today offers you a short cycling among the rural villages and fruit orchards of Mekong delta “the rice bowl of Vietnam”. Once you get out the heavy traffice of Ho Chi Minh City and the high way, let’s star pedal throught the quiet rural roads passing numerous orchards, rice fields, villages, bridges, canals. You will have chance to witness the colorful daily life and meet friendly people along the country lanes. Arrive at My Tho pier at around noon. Take a boat for a cruise along islets and tropical orchards. Cruise through the canal of Vam Xep to reach a small islet. A relaxing walk along shady and palm fringed trails will take you through the local villages where you see glimpses of daily life. Stop en route to sip special tea with honey and sample fruit with a local family, share their stories of life in the Mekong. Enjoy lunch with local food at the islet then visit handicraft villages, a coconut candy factory before returning on shore. In the afternoon, transfer back to your hotel in Ho Chi Minh City. Dinner at your own arrangement. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 06Hanoi - Halong – Overnight On Cruise (B,L,D)Breakfast at hotel. From Hanoi, at 8AM, head East for more than 3 hours to Halong Bay, the pride of the Gulf of Tonkin, a Natural World Heritage as designated by UNESCO in 1994 and 2006. The road will pass by the Red River delta with green paddyfields and rural villages, where hard-work farmers are busy with their farming jobs, ploughing buffaloes or planting seedling. Upon arrival in Halong, we’ll take a big boat to cruise the Bay to discover the magnificent beauty of this “Descending-dragon” bay, created by thousands odd-shaped limestone rocks and karst grottoes. After a lunch of fresh seafood (local food) on board, we can visit the Surprising Grotto, stop for swimming or kayaking (at your own cost), passing floating villages and approach islets to enjoy their beauty in close distance. Dinner on board (local food). Evening attend activities on the boat or relax at your own leisure. Day 07Halong Bay – Hanoi – Evening flight to Saigon (B/L)After breakfast, visit by boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Halong with absolutely tranquil landscape and emerald water. Back to the Wharf of Halong passing the most densely area with many islands that have been named like the Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense burner rock or Sea Dog Rock. Early lunch/brunch (local food) will be served on boar. Arrive at Halong Wharf around 11.00. Return to Hanoi. After that, transfer straight to Noi Bai airport in Hanoi for catching your flight to Saigon (airfare quoted separately). Upon arrival, check in your hotel. Overnight in Saigon. Day 10Saigon – noon flight to Siem Reap (B/D)Breakfast at hotel. Free at leisure until transfer to the airport for your flight to Siem Reap (airfare quoted separately). Upon arrival, welcome by tour guide in Siem Reap, transfer to check in hotel. Evening, have welcome dinner with Apsara, the traditional Khmer dance - drama performance, which are not merely dance but also telling a story. Overnight in Siem Reap.

Day 11Siem Reap Angkor tour (B/L)Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 10 km – Backroads & City roads - Support truck: YES Breakfast at hotel. Morning, we continue exploring Angkor by an easy biking on the roads-less-traveled. Ride along the jungle on well-paved trails, passing through local villages, you will reach Angkor Wat, highlighted by the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, carved on the walls and tell the stories of Hindu legends. We will explore some of Angkor’s most beautiful temples including: The ancient capital of Angkor Thom; the South Gate; Bayon Temple - unique with its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces; Baphuon temple; north of Bayon represented of holy Mount Meru the residence of the gods in Hindu tradition. We will go around The Royal land, the Elephant Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King. We stop at the less-traveled west gate of Angkor Thom before calmly relaxing at Bakheng hill for a romantic sunset view. We will return to hotel and take your relaxing time. Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight in Siemreap.

Day 12Siem Reap Angkor tour (B/L)Cycling data: Total distance of cycling: 35 km – Backroads & City roads - Support truck: YES Breakfast at hotel. Morning, we will continue cycling to visit Small Circuit including: visit Ta Prohm temple which is a wonderful combination of human genius and natural beauty! Giant trees have grown here for centuries and Prasat Kravan was originally constructed by noblemen rather than a king. Banteay Kdei was built in sandstone, which has deteriorated quite badly. However, there remain some very beautiful lintels and pediments. Srah Srang is a royal pool was the King's bathing pond, where he washed with his many concubines each day. Takeo - King Suryavarman I commissioned this temple in the 10th Century, but it was never completed so has no elaborate decoration like its contemporaries. It is a pyramid on 5 levels and is dedicated to Shiva. Thommanon - small attractive temple in very good condition, built at the same time as Angkor Wat. Chau Say Tevoda built during the second quarter of the 12th century opposite of Thommanon, it was dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu. Lunch at local restaurant! Afternoon overland trip to visit the highlights of the Grand Circuit including: Preah Khan - meaning The Sacred Sword, this temple was also built by Jayawarman VII and is famous for its immensely long cruciform corridors and delicate carvings. Neak Pean - This temple is a delicate highlight of Khmer art. Built by Jayavarman VII, this temple is the perfect representation of the heavens on earth. Ta Som was a small classic Bayon style monastic complex consisting of a relatively flat enclosure. East Mebon was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman; this temple was situated on a small island in the middle of the Oriental, or Eastern, Baray. Last visit Pre Rup was built in the 10th Century by Rajendravarman and view lovely sunset there. Overnight in Siem Reap.
