Day 01ARRIVAL IN HANOI, VISIT HANOI (D)Welcome to Vietnam! Upon your arrival in Hanoi, you will be greeted by the tourguide and private car of THREELAND TRAVEL. Transfer to the city to check-in your hotel located at the city center. Afternoon visit the History Museum of Hanoi, Ngoc Son temple, the Sword Lake and Tran Quoc pagoda. (You can choose alternatively Army History Museum, “Hilton Hanoi” Museum, Women’s Museum, Quan Thanh Temple, Temple of Literature or pagodas depending on your interests). Dinner at Ngon Restaurant of Hanoi with your guide. Overnight in Hanoi. Please note: Usual check-in time is 2pm. Museums are often closed on Monday. Details to be advised by THREELAND TRAVEL.

Day 02VISIT HANOI (B)Enjoy the morning at your leisure to relax or explore the city on your own. In the afternoon, optional activity: Join a coffee workshop to learn about Vietnamese coffee culture, the roasting process, and how to make the iconic egg coffee. Continue with a leisure walk through the Old Quarter, ending with a short street food tour to sample local flavors. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 03HANOI - HALONG BAY (B/L/D)You will be picked up in the morning to transfer to Halong Bay, the most famous natural wonder of Vietnam, by a shuttle bus. The road to Halong takes around 3h30’ passing by the Red River Delta and many craft towns where products of green bean cakes, traditional cakes, ceramics and other handicraft are made by skillful Northern people. Board your boat in Halong for a great sea cruise between thousands of islands and rocks in Halong, which have been short-listed to be the best natural wonders of the world and twice as the UNESCO World Heritage. Lunch and dinner of seafood will be served on board. Afternoon you can relax, have sunbath, go kayaking or discover a cave in Halong. Overnight on board on the sea. (tourguide on board included).

Day 04HALONG BAY - HANOI (B/L)After breakfast, visit by boat to Luon Cave, a ring-shaped pool inside an island in Halong with absolutely tranquil landscape and emerald water. Back to the Wharf of Halong passing the most densely area with many islands that have been named like the Cock-Fighting Rock, Sail Island, Incense burner rock or Sea Dog Rock. Arrive at Halong Wharf around 11.00. Early lunch/brunch will be served on board. Return to Hanoi by shuttle bus at around 4PM. Free at your own leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 05HANOI – NINH BINH - DANANG BY TRAIN (B/L)After breakfast at the hotel, head out for a full-day excursion to Ninh Binh, often called “Halong Bay on land” for its dramatic karst landscape. Begin with a visit to Hoa Lu, the 10th-century capital of Vietnam. Explore the remains of the royal citadel and temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang and Emperor Le Dai Hanh, learning about the early dynasties that helped shape the nation. Next, take a peaceful sampan boat trip along the Ngo Dong River. Local rowers guide you through a stunning landscape of limestone cliffs, hidden caves, and rice paddies. Tam Coc, meaning “Three Caves,” includes Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba—each tunnel carved naturally through the mountain by the river. Later in the afternoon, hop on a leisure biking trip and cycle along quiet backroads through rustic villages nestled among vast rice fields. It’s a chance to witness daily life in the countryside and soak in the serene scenery. In the evening, transfer to the station and board the overnight train to Da Nang. Travel in a shared 4-berth cabin, falling asleep to the rhythm of the rails as you journey south toward central Vietnam.

Day 06DANANG – HOIAN VISIT (B)Welcomed in Danang Railway Station by the tourguide of THREELAND in Central Vietnam and transferred to have breakfast at local restaurant. After that, visit Cham Museum to learn about the original culture of this land and prepare yourself for the upcoming visits to My Son Sanctuary and further. Transfer to Hoian. Intermingle with Hoian people by hanging around Hoian market by the Hoai river and visit Hoian famous points including old China trading houses, temples, and Hoian traditional houses mixed of Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese styles. Overnight in Hoian.

Day 07HOIAN – MY SON HALF DAY - HOIAN (B)After breakfast at the hotel, depart from Hoi An for a half-day trip to My Son Sanctuary, located about 50 km southwest of the city. Once the spiritual and political center of the Champa Kingdom between the 4th and 8th centuries, My Son was an imperial city filled with grand temples and shrines. Explore the ruins of Cham towers scattered throughout the lush valley, and learn about the unique architecture and symbolism of the Cham civilization. The site features over 65 structures, including temples, altars, and tombs, many intricately decorated with sandstone carvings and Hindu motifs. Designated a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site in 1999, My Son stands as a powerful reminder of Vietnam’s diverse cultural history. During the visit, enjoy a performance of traditional Apsara dance by Cham artists—a graceful and symbolic art form once performed to honor the gods. Return to Hoi An by early afternoon. Spend the rest of the day at your leisure—relax on the beach, explore the lantern-lit streets of the Old Town, or enjoy a riverside café. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 08HOIAN - DANANG - MORNING FLIGHT TO SAIGON - CITY TOUR (B)Transfer to Danang to take flight Danang – Saigon. Welcomed in Saigon and transfer to hotel to check-in. Later have a short city tour to the fascinating Binh Tay market, Thien hau pagoda and the District 1 with numerous colonial-styled charming houses and hectic atmosphere of the modern life. Your last stop is the vibrant Ben Thanh market. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 09SAIGON – CU CHI TUNNELS - SAIGON (B)Morning proceed to Cu Chi tunnels, the rare trace from the Vietnam War. You can try to crawl in Cu Chi Tunnel to imagine about the real life of the normal Vietnamese during the wartime. Back to Saigon and have rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 10SAIGON – MEKONG DELTA (BEN TRE)– SAIGON (B)Morning transfer from Saigon to Ben Tre, a province nearby Saigon but full of the exciting life of the Mekong people. Being one of several mighties rivers in the world, the Mekong flows into Vietnam at its lowest part before coming to the Pacific and left behind a hectic life of “Mekong people”. Upon arriving, go between coconut lines by boat to reach some gardened houses where people run their family factories producing candy, feed honey bee or plant orchards. You can taste some wine or tea with honey right at the gardens here. Back to Saigon later afternoon. Overnight Saigon.
